West End Heroes

The choir was extremely fortunate to be invited to take part in this year’s West End Heroes on 4th October, 2015 alongside The Band of the Army Air Corp.

We had an amazing day. The atmosphere was electric and it was a true honour to represent the Military Wives Choir network. The ladies worked extremely hard and all shone like the stars they are.

The evening was hosted by Sir Christopher Biggins and we were extremely excited to be introduced by the one and only Bonnie Langford! We had the honour of meeting Cassidy Little too.

When the curtain went up the adrenaline was pumping and the goosebumps were everywhere! We sang ‘Don’t Stop Believing’, with the audience clapping along.  We sang our hearts out and came off the stage buzzing!

It wasn’t long before we were called again ready for ‘Abide With Me’. This was a time for us to reflect on what our Armed Forces do for us. Risking their lives to make ours a safe one. We then went straight into the finale of ‘Do You Hear The People Sing’ with the entire cast of West End Heroes.

This was definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity that we feel truly honoured to have been involved in. To be able to perform at such a prestigious venue and represent the Military Wives Choirs is an amazing thing.  Credit goes to SAC Matthew Baker – SAC Photographic for providing official photographs.
